Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking your safari with Wilpattu Leopard Safaris. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Booking Terms

  • All safari bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Wilpattu Leopard Safaris.
  • Bookings can be made via our website contact form, email, or WhatsApp. A booking is confirmed only after you receive written confirmation from us.
  • All prices are quoted in USD and include applicable taxes and park entrance fees unless otherwise stated.
  • We reserve the right to modify safari itineraries, timings, or routes based on weather conditions, park regulations, or safety concerns.
  • Group bookings may be subject to special terms and pricing. Please contact us for group rates.

Payment Terms

  • Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking confirmation.
  • We accept payments via bank transfer, cash (in local currency), or other methods as agreed upon.
  • Full payment may be required in advance for certain packages or during peak seasons.
  • All prices are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed.
  • Additional charges may apply for extra services, extended hours, or special requests.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email or WhatsApp.
  • Cancellation fees may apply based on the notice period provided:
  • • Cancellations made 7+ days before the safari date: Full refund or rescheduling (subject to availability)
  • • Cancellations made 3-6 days before: 50% refund or rescheduling
  • • Cancellations made less than 3 days before: No refund, but rescheduling may be possible (subject to availability and additional charges)
  • No-shows on the day of the safari will not be eligible for refunds.
  • We offer flexible rescheduling if changes are made in advance. Contact us to discuss rescheduling options.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14-21 business days.

Liability and Safety

  • Wilpattu Leopard Safaris operates in accordance with Department of Wildlife Conservation regulations and safety standards.
  • All participants must follow the instructions of our guides and drivers at all times for their safety and the safety of wildlife.
  • We are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or losses that occur due to participants' failure to follow safety instructions.
  • Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. While we strive to provide the best possible experience, animal behavior is unpredictable.
  • We are not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged during the safari. Please keep valuables secure.
  • Participants must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements at the time of booking.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who poses a risk to themselves, other participants, or wildlife.

Wildlife Viewing Guidelines

  • All safaris are conducted with strict adherence to wildlife conservation ethics and park regulations.
  • We maintain safe viewing distances from all wildlife and avoid disturbing animals.
  • Photography is allowed, but flash photography is prohibited as it may disturb wildlife.
  • Participants must remain seated in the vehicle unless instructed otherwise by the guide.
  • Feeding, touching, or attempting to interact with wildlife is strictly prohibited.
  • We follow a 'leave no trace' policy - all waste must be carried out of the park.
  • Respect for wildlife and their natural habitat is paramount. Any behavior that disturbs animals may result in immediate termination of the safari without refund.

Weather and Force Majeure

  • Safaris operate in various weather conditions. Light rain does not typically cancel safaris.
  • In cases of severe weather that poses safety risks, we may cancel or reschedule safaris. In such cases, full refunds or rescheduling will be offered.
  • We are not liable for cancellations or modifications due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, government regulations, park closures, or other force majeure events.
  • If a safari is cancelled by us due to force majeure, we will offer rescheduling or a credit voucher valid for 12 months.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • We collect personal information necessary for booking and providing safari services.
  • Your information will be used solely for booking purposes, communication, and service delivery.
  • We do not share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or for service provision.
  • Payment information is handled securely and is not stored by us beyond what is necessary for transaction processing.
  • By booking with us, you consent to our use of your information as described in this policy.
  • You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

General Terms

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
  • Any disputes will be resolved through amicable discussion first. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
  • We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page.
  • By booking a safari with Wilpattu Leopard Safaris, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
  • If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
  • These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Wilpattu Leopard Safaris regarding your safari booking.
